I have found the following life savers, and are ideal for fresher's week:
- aspirin/ibuprofen (for headache hangovers)
- Imodium/ alka seltzer (for upset stomach hangovers)
- dioralyte (this helps rehydrate your body after a night out works wonders on horrendous hangovers)
- Sainsbury’s large bag of pasta as this will become a staple part of your diet
Other useful items:
- a plunger (you may be sick in your sink if you can’t make it to the communal bathrooms in time or don’t have a bin nearby)
- a bin
- an alarm clock, you don’t want to be missing too many lectures
- a mini fridge to keep things like milk and butter in as these are the kind of things people seem to think are communal, along with bread and teabags.
- a camera as you will want to document your first year in photos
