Leave your door open whilst people move in so you can easily talk to everyone.

Decorating your room:
Uni rooms are plain; there is nothing homely about them. Make sure you bring lots of things that make it feel more ‘you’...

photos: most rooms have notice borards so they are a great way to personalise your room and make you feel less homesick!

cushions, posters,  fairy lights, nice bedcovers, a lampshade etc.

[also take photos of any damages so you don’t get charged for them at the end of the year]

9. pins for sticking your photos etc. to the corkboards

10. earplugs if you are unlucky enough to have loud flatmates, especially useful during exam time
